New Veterans Wall dedication

Brigadier General Matthew J. Stub to posthumously honor resident Colonel Ann D. Fritsch

The Ann D. Fritsch Veterans Wall will be dedicated on Wednesday, August 14th.  Ann served in the U.S. Army for over 28 years, including service during the Korean War and 2 tours in Vietnam. She retired as a Colonel in the Medical Specialist Corps.  A St. Camillus Independent Living resident for over 36 years, Ann was very humble about her service to our country and refused any accolades, however she did agree to be recognized posthumously.  Upon her passing in December of 2023, the St. Camillus Veterans Committee headed by U.S. Army veterans Kathleen and Alex Kaleta, began the task of creating a suitable honor for Ann and the 54 veterans currently residing in Independent Living.

The unveiling ceremony will include Ann’s family and friends, guest speaker Brigadier General Matthew J. Stub and music by the Milwaukee American Legion Band. This event is not open to the public.
