On Monday, July 15th, St. Camillus Life Plan Community began its St. Camillus Feast Week commemoration and celebrations with a Garden Blessing and Dedication and a Vada Procession with the Statue of St. Camillus.
The Auberger Courtyard was blessed and dedicated which is comprised of Our Lady Health of the Sick prayer garden, a walking path with the Stations of the Cross and an area with raised garden beds for residents to plant flowers and vegetables. Family and friends of the donor were present for the dedication. Following the Courtyard Dedication, a large group of priests, religious sisters, residents, and staff members of St. Camillus processed around the Wauwatosa campus with the Vada – singing and praying. The Vada Procession stopped at each area/entrance of the campus(including Memory Care, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing and Independent Living) to greet residents and staff members with a special blessing by one of the Camillian Fathers. Residents were also given St. Camillus prayer cards and a red carnation to mark the event. In total, over 100 guests were in attendance.
